Miller's Orchard

G. C. Miller & Sons commenced business in 1945 at Hillwood in the Tamar Valley by the late Geoffrey Charles Millers and is now a 4th generation business. The business grows export quality apples, pears and cherries and supplies many local stores, greengrocers and supermarkets as well as being a major exporter to many different countries. There are also counter sales direct to the public.
Millers Orchards is managed by family members Kevin and Wade – orchard management
Justin – pack house production and QA management and
Brendan – Managing Director and Marketing manager.
We currently have 24 full time employees. Many technological changes have occurred in the past 66 years with the business using horse drawn farming practices and implements in the early years. Now with the latest computerized machinery and packing lines, Millers Orchards looks forward to the future.
Many changes and challenges have occurred in both local and global markets in which we compete, including the Australian Government’s decision to allow NZ and China apple imports into our own back yard. Millers Orchards always remain positive that we can meet the ever changing global market to ensure the future of this proud 4th generation family run business.
