Children at Milestones Childcare are viewed as strong individuals unique in their personality, experience, learning style, language and culture.

Children learn in numerous ways; through doing, watching others, from environmental activities, talking and listening and through trial and error. All of these factors are considered when making decisions about children’s learning opportunities whilst at our centre.

We encourage and support children in making their own decisions about the type of activities they wish to engage in and assist in selecting resources that compliment their individual learning styles, family experiences, interests and development.

These experiences are carefully documented using photographs and narratives that are compiled in children’s portfolios.

We value parent partnerships throughout the process and empower parents to participate in their children’s learning activities as they wish.

In order for children to feel a sense of warmth and familiarity during their stay at Milestones Childcare use resources and daily experiences to replicate and respond to children’s home environments and experiences.
