MHA Care provides a range of Home and Community Care services to support frail older people, people with a disability and their carers. Our services are there to support and help you to live at home and in your community. It is our aim to deliver innovative and effective consumer centred services based upon best practice standards.
A brief overview of these services is outlined below:
Home Care
Home Care provides assistance with general household cleaning tasks such as:
- Vacuuming / Mopping Floors
- Dusting
- Bathrooms
- Kitchens
- Washing and Ironing
Personal Care
A Qualified Care Worker can provide assistance with self-care tasks such as showering, dressing, shaving and hair care, toileting and getting in and out of bed.
Personal Care also includes assistance with other activities of daily living including:
- Shopping
- Meal Preparation
- Escorting to Community Events
Respite Care
Respite Care provides a break for the carer to enable them to participate in community, social and other activities.
A qualified Care Worker can provide tailored in home or community based respite on a regular basis or intermittently as required.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels are delivered to customers in their home by our wonderful team of Volunteers.
Home and Property Maintenance
Assistance with basic home and garden maintenance tasks.
Our qualified Home and Property Maintenance team can also complete home modifications to ensure that you can move around your home safely. (Eg: Supply and install ramps and grab rails).
Planned Activity Groups
Planed Activity Groups are designed to enhance people's independence by promoting physical activity, cognitive stimulation, good nutrition, emotional well being and social inclusion.
Swimming Program
Water based group exercise classes run by a qualified instructor.
