Pregnancy Massage is a treatment that relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, leg cramps, headaches, stiff neck and oedema (or swelling).
Remedial Massage: is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management
Relaxation Massage is a treatment that involves long smooth gliding strokes that are rhythmic and flowing. Pressure is not deep but relaxing and not painful
Therapeutic Massage is similar to Relaxation Massage but a little bit more intense by using more pressure and cross-fibre friction in order to get knots (also known as adhesions)
Trigger Point - These massages make use of carefully planned cycles of pressure being placed on the trigger points. The pressure lasts for a few short moments before it’s released. It can be quite painful and the pain will travel throughout your body when pressure is placed onto the affected area. Once you receive several rounds of trigger point therapy, the pain should start to dissipate as the knot in the muscle reduces in size. The reason for this is that these knots affect the circulation of blood.
Seated Massage is performed while the client sits fully clothed in a special chair. This unique massage chair is ergonomically designed and offers full support of the head. It is often performed at a special event or office. Seated massage can improve productivity and reduce stress. The “Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine” in 2011 found that twice a week seated massages decreased musculoskeletal aching and pain and increased range of motion after one month.
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle pressure technique used to stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid from the damaged area. By promoting fluid circulation and decongesting the lymph nodes, it helps boost the immune system and detoxify the body.
