Married By Ali - Civil Marriage Celebrant

My journey to become a civil marriage celebrant began when I got married in 2012. We wanted someone similar to us - relaxed, fun, contemporary, well spoken and presented - and who would create a ceremony that was truly ours. As I hunted for the perfect person I started thinking that this could be another hat I could wear someday - I love meeting new people, helping to organise all matter of things and have a passion for writing.

The idea simmered away for a couple of years until I was on maternity leave in 2014 and, amongst the chaos of having a newborn, I decided to head 'back to school' and became an accredited celebrant!

While being a celebrant is my 'passion project', I think that my other day jobs - being a freelance Public Relations & Event Manager, as well as a mother to two young kids - put me in good stead to be the best person to help write and officiate your special occasion.

I am approachable, down-to-earth, highly organised, attentive, and professional. Couple that with more than 15 years of working in and with the media, as well as public speaking experience, and I always strive to deliver a bespoke ceremony that lives up to your vision and expectations.

I am based in Adelaide, South Australia, but am more than happy to travel far and wide for your ceremony.
