Maroondah City Council Youth Services

The Maroondah Youth Services Facebook Page is here so you can stay up to date with everything that’s on offer for local young people aged 12 – 25 by Maroondah Youth Services – like gigs, programs, events, fun stuff to do, information and help.

It’s also here so we can connect with young people in Maroondah to find out what’s important to you and what’s going on for young people locally. We want to know what you think so that we can try to make a positive difference for young people.


We want our page to be a fun and safe place for young people, so be nice to each other and help us out by following the house rules:

- Everyone has a right to their own opinion, so be respectful of different views.
- No abusive, offensive or discriminatory language, links, photos, or behaviour – be cool, yeah?
- Nothing that puts anyone at risk of harm.
- No bullying, insulting or harassment. End of story.
- Nothing illegal and nothing that encourages illegal behaviour. This includes lying about your age – that’s called fraud people, which is illegal and very dodgy.
- Don’t post anything private about anyone else – its not cool and we will take it down.
- Remember that Facebook is public, so be careful about what you post about yourself!
- And no spam. No-one likes spam.

So heads up, if anyone posts something that breaks these rules, we’ll delete it. And if anyone keeps breaking these rules, we’ll block them from the page. But if the person changes their ways we’re happy to talk to them about being added back to the page.

Serious breaches will get a person banned straight up though – we’re serious about this being a safe space.

We’re not checking this site 24/7, but we are checking it regularly between 8.30am & 5.15pm on Monday to Friday (not on public holidays though).
To protect your privacy, please do not include information (such as an e-mail address, home address, or phone number) in the text of your comment that identifies you.
