More about Marnie Duggan - Independent Jamberry Consultant

Myth #1 : Jamberry Nail Wraps are Stickers
FALSE

Jamberry Nail Wraps {aka, nail shields or Jams} are solid vinyl film nail coverings. This special material is both heat and pressure activated to create a water tight bond to your nail. The film is finished with a protective layer that prevents your nail shield from chipping or scuffing and will last on your fingernails up to two weeks and toenails up to six weeks.
Can your Lisa Frank sticker do that?

In short, Jams are heat-activated vinyl nail wraps. They are unlike anything you can buy anywhere else and they are not polish strips. They outlast the drugstore brands of nail stickers and even the expensive salon brands. They do not chip, fade, or smell and they do not dry out or expire. Jamberry nail wraps last up to 2 weeks on your fingers and up to 6 weeks on your toes. (Yes, you read that right!)
Myth #2 : Jamberry Nails Wraps are Expensive
FALSE

Let me do the math for you:

There are 18 nail wraps on each sheet {cost $22}

You can do at least 2 full sets of fingers and 2 full set of toes per sheet {~$5.50 per each mani or pedi}

Even after doing 2 full sets of fingers and 1 full set of toes, you will have little bits left over to do accent nails {Extra bonus!}

Myth #3 : Jamberry Nail Wraps are Hard to Apply
FALSE

Even though I debunked the myth that Jamberry Nail Wraps are just stickers up above, they are still just as easy to apply as stickers. You can literally do an entire manicure in 20 minutes {or less} and there is no drying time, so you can resume normal activities immediately.

Or, if you can’t carve out a full 20 minutes, you can apply the nail wraps one by one. Got a diaper to change? Go for it! That nail wrap you just applied is already dry and the others will be fine until you get back.
Applying Jamberry Nail Wraps is done in six super simple steps:

— Step 1: Push back and clear off your old, dead cuticles

— Step 2: Clean your finger nails with an alcohol wipe, vinegar, or acetone {to remove all oils from your nail}

— Step 3: Heat your wrap until pliable

— Step 4: Apply to finger and push down onto nail with rubber cuticle pusher {then let cool for a couple minutes before moving onto next step}

— Step 5: Trim down wrap with small scissors, as close to nail as possible, then file with fine grit nail file the rest of the way down

— Step 6: Apply additional heat and make sure wrap is sealed down around all edges

Myth #4 : Jamberry Nails Wraps will Damage Nails
FALSE

Like I mentioned in my review post, I had absolutely zero damage to my nail when I removed the wraps. If you are worried about using acetone to remove the wrap {and having the acetone damage your nail}, you can use heat like I did, soak in water after breaking the seal on the edge of the wrap, or soak first in extra virgin olive or coconut oil!

Do one thing quick for me: Take a moment to think about how awful your nails were after getting acrylics taken off or a gel manicure removed.

Jamberry Nail Wraps are the complete opposite of that, yet they last longer!

If you are not ready to give up your acrylics, or your gel manicures, but want to incorporate some of the Jamberry designs into your manicure, not a problem! Jamberry Nail Wraps can also be used on top of acrylics, gel manicures, or even just your regular nail polish!

Myth #5 : Jamberry Nail Wraps Smell Bad
FALSE

There is absolutely zero smell to Jamberry Nail Wraps. Unlike when using nail polish, my hubby no longer walks into the room and says, “So, you are doing your nails, huh?”

Jamberry Nail Wraps are non-toxic, formaldehyde-free, use no harmful chemicals, are gluten-free, latex-free, and cruelty-free. Plus, they are made right here in the USA!

Carrying precious cargo? Continue to have stylish nails even while pregnant.

And, if you are curious, the Jamberry Nail Lacquers are 5-Free meaning free of the top five cancer-causing chemicals: Toluene, Formaldehyde, Dibutylphthalate (DBP), Camphor and Formaldehyde Resin
