Mark Jones Training Stables

Marelle Lodge Training Centre is based in Macclesfield Victoria, situated on a beautiful 20 acre property in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Marelle Lodge supplies a safe and caring environment in which your horse can develop and learn.

The horses are individually catered for and the time needed for training will depend on what he/she requires. Horses are fed two – three times per day depending on the individual horse and their workload.

Facilities at Marelle Lodge:
•Sand Arena 60x20 post & rail.
•Round Yard 35ft sand surface, rubber lined, flood lit.
•Tie up yards colt/stallion, day yards with plenty of shelter/breezeways.
•Stables fully lined, fully lit with automatic drinkers for your horse's comfort. Horse wash bay.
•Single and Double Paddocks
•Safe Fencing all post & rail with complete electric fencing


Services Marelle Lodge offers to you & your horse:

Starting Young Horses:
I invite the clients to be involved with the training from the beginning. I send my clients home with a complete package, not just the horse being well trained but you as well. There is no point taking the horse home and not being able to ride or handle it. So not only do I build a relationship with your horse, but I invite and show you how to do it also.
My breaking – in program is approximately 6-8 weeks, depending on the horse.

Re-educating Horses:
At some stage in your life, you will come in contact with a horse. Whether it is for trail-riding, competitions or simply companionship. There may be occasions when you feel inadequate to handle a situation or problem with your equine friend.

These problems may be behavioral, deep-seated or brand new or may simply be a misunderstanding. Mark is able to assist horse owner’s with situations or problems that arise with a professional approach.

Mark's aim is achieving the best results for your horse by understanding the horse as "one" as they are all different. Mark has years of experience in starting horses & builds on a solid foundation that is much needed between horse & rider for your horse to perform. Mark is able to work with all disciplines at varying skill levels.

Riding Lessons:
Education of riders of all levels of ability and for any discipline.
Mark educates his clients in all facets of horsemanship, from ground-work, correct fitting of tack through to building confident riding skills, concentrating on rider position/body language and application of aids. Each lesson is tailored to the rider's ability and their goals

Clinics:
Clinics are available to give you an understanding on how to achieve the correct foundations required in your horses training for any discipline.
