Mohini is a Master’s degree holder in Indian Clasical Dance (Kathak) from Pune University India. During tertiary education she has worked in Nrityabharati Kathak Dance Academy, (Pune ,India) with students of different age groups as a part of her curriculum. Performed all over India including Delhi,Mumbai,Pune,Ahmedabad with Group for Kathak ballet named “Srushti ” created out of Eco-awareness. She has also performed Solo and Duets at different cities of India. Her final year research project of “Role of dance in overall development of children” has helped her in her role as a dance teacher.
After completing Masters from India, Mohini moved to Geelong and started working independently as Director of Manmohini Indian Dance School. She also worked for Geelong council/Diversitat as a dance performer. She got the opportunity to teach around 400 kids of St Anthony’s Catholic primary school (Noble Park Victoria) over a time span of one school term, i.e. around 3 months. During this time she was solely responsible for the research, concept, script writing, designing and making props, costumes, scheduling of workshops, audio editing of sound tracks of “Celebrations from India” concert.
