The Maning Reef Cafe is jointly owned by John Caire and Giovanni Bertelle.
John is a seasoned Restaurateur having built and operated his own restaurants since 1977 with JC’s Seafood, Oyster Cove Inn, Astor Grill, Ball & Chain, Sandy Bay Beach Wood Fired Pizza, winning multiple gold plates and
awards.
Giovanni is an Australian/Italian with such restaurants as La Cucina, Bertelle’s, Franklin Grill and Aqua Grill behind him.
John & Giovanni have served generations of Tasmanians with Tempura Mushrooms over 20 years at food festivals.
They have combined their talents at The Maning Reef Cafe with the assistance of Kate, John’s daughter.
