OUR STORY
FRANKLY, MAN CANDLE BEGAN AS A BIT OF A JOKE.

Mike, our Co-Founder, Chief Chandler and Accountant by trade didn’t like his girlfriend spending so much money on candles. So like all good accountants and respectful males he sought to learn how to make a candle. And did quite well, might I add!

If it weren’t for Mike’s mate Alex, Co-Founder, serial Entrepreneur and closet Candle procurer, his candle making would have remained a hobby. For months, each and every time they caught up for beers and candle banter Alex encouraged Mike to start his own business. Finally the day came when Mike quit his accounting job, and Alex put his foot down; “Now we have to start a candle business!” And so it began.



So now you know why we started making candles, but why on Earth would we make them specifically for men?

WELL THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE…GUYS LIKE CANDLES TOO!

Based on our lengthy surveying of people, we found overwhelmingly that men, like their female counterparts, also loved the soothing aroma of a candle. Yet, were always faced with the embarrassment of going to the checkout with a bunch of pink fruity scented candles. This is the kind of embarrassment that a young lad faces when purchasing his first pack of condoms! A sinking feeling that no man will ever forget.

This is why we decided we would spare men from this day forward this embarrassment and provide a safe, non-judging environment for men to explore their inner candle desires!
