A home away from home

Mama Moose is a Scandinavian/Nordic inspired Boutique child care centre that offers education and care in both English and Swedish. We provide a very homely and welcoming atmosphere where children can learn, grow and feel at home.

We will celebrate Swedish and Scandinavian holidays such as Midsummer, Lucia, Easter and Christmas as well as Australian holidays.
The themes are based on animals living in the Nordic forest such as Moose, Bear and fox and the centre itself is very nature orientated with wooden toys, wooden floorboards and pictures.

We offer services in both English, Swedish and Finnish. Children start learning to communicate at an early age through playing, listening and observing and will soak up information easily. Picking up a second language is much easier as a small child than as an adult or school-age child and is extremely good for brain development.
We cater for Children from 18 Month to 5 year of age.

Our centre is open Monday – Friday from 730.am – 6pm. We remain closed on all public holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years.

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework which focuses on fee play where children can discover their passions and interests and explore their surroundings, as well as guided learning activities. We focus a lot on music and movement with dancing and singing and plenty of art and creativity.

We provide healthy meals every day and place importance on good nutrition; morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. If your child has any allergies and dietary requirements we will also cater from them.

We want you and your child to feel that this is your second home and will do our best to make you feel as welcome and comfortable as possible.
