Mackinlay Carpentry is a Small Business focused on providing quality timber work for any project. Whether it's a home renovation, or furniture and musical instrument build/repairs or anything inbetween, we have the skills and experience to bring any idea to life. The crazier the better.

A long time ago, in a land far North of homely Adelaide, a young man, Jake, begun his apprenticeship with a small, family owned, Carpentry/Joinery firm. Learning the skills of old, becoming a master tradesman and timber aficionado. Applying these skills to not only new developments but old heritage listed homes across the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills, has granted him with a grand experience on all fronts of the trade.

Since the completion of his apprenticeship and the transition to the thriving metropolis, the Carpentry/Joinery unfortunately took a backseat in Jake's day to day and turned more into a hobby. Which only had a snowball effect on his skills and experience, and has rekindled his lust for all things lumber.

With a number of projects already undertaken in Jake's "hobby" phase ranging from booth style seating, and saloon style doors in some Adelaide small bars, kitchen renovations in old homes, and Drumkit and furniture restoration, he has the knowledge, the drive and the passion to put Hammer on Chisel and turn any project into reality Today.
