The Long Gully Community Garden commenced in 2002 in response to a community need to increase pride and identity, health, and wellbeing as well as addressing the aspect of community safety and socialisation.

With the assistance from Conservation Volunteers and a number of Volunteers from the LGNC and local residents twenty eight garden beds were built. These garden beds are raised and are suited to those who are elderly or have special needs.

Currently the occupied garden beds contain a variety of vegetables and flowers. There are a number of fruit trees at the garden.

Some people have found the this garden to be quiet place to go and visit, just to sit and have a cuppa in the shed or under a tree and listen to the birds and smell the flowers.

A place where you don't have to have a green thumb, you just have to have the time.

Costs:

Garden Beds: Small $10 - Large- $15
Garden Key $5 deposit refunded upon return.

Open Community Access 7 days a week.

Volunteer Supervisors available between 10.00am-2.00pm.
Mondays and Thursdays.
