Greenlight Planet started around 2007 as a result of an Engineers Without Borders project to develop better lighting for Indian villagers who relied on unhealthy and unsafe kerosene lighting.

Sun King LED solar lights were then introduced in 2009 and have been consistently refined since then.

Sun King are now providing solar lighting throughout India and a number of developing African countries and elsewhere. To date over 1.5M Sun King are being used

Sun King LED solar lights (ECO, SOLO, PRO) models are extremely suitable for a variety of camping (small, medium and large tents) and other outdoor activities, and some models also include USB charging capabilities for phones and other accessories.

The product range is also very suitable for back-up lighting in power outages and emergency/disaster relief lighting.

Sun King have recently introduced their HOME product which can provide LED solar lighting for up to 3 rooms, as well as USB charging capabilities.
