I remember how much my parents looked forward to our Accountant coming up from the city, it was like a family member was about to visit. Their Accountant gave them confidence, insight and strategy to assist them achieve their goals. Of course he did their compliance - to me that's a given - but the value add advice is what helped them build their business into a successful one.

This is what influenced me to become an Accountant. I believe giving your clients up to date, relevant information about their business activities is imperative to survive and succeed. I love working with Xero Cloud Accounting software and its associated add ons (Unleashed, Receipt Bank, Vend to name a few) for this reason; it allows you and your Accountant to be involved in your business from day to day instead of a few times a year. I too want my clients to feel confident that they have some one who is helping them achieve their goals and successes.
