Lockhart Picnic Races

The Lockhart Picnic Races provides the classic country horse racing experience. The track and surrounds will be in exceptional condition and ready for racing on Friday 6th October 2017. Gates open at midday, with the first race at 1:30pm there is plenty of time to enjoy a picnic lunch and outstanding country hospitality.

The Lockhart Picnic Races provides a great day out for the whole family, with an entry cost of just $20 at the gate (U16 free). The kids will be entertained with the jumping castle and kids corner, while the adults can enjoy the company of friends and family in the relaxed and scenic surrounds. Bring your own picnic, blanket and refreshments to enjoy trackside.

From the historic and newly restored Grandstand, cast your discerning eyes over Fashions on the Field entrants for most elegant lady, most stylish couple, junior racegoer and best headwear. Glamour and style are sure to feature when the fashion conscious racegoers take to the stage.

The race card is looking jam-packed with an exceptional field of horses. The six races including the Lockhart Ex-Servicemens Cup being held at 4pm, will provide plenty of excitement and opportunity to back that elusive winner.

Head to the Verandah Town on Friday 6th October 2017 where you are guaranteed fun, friendship and frivolity. The local police will be visiting throughout the day to ensure everyone is having a responsible time.
