We are a small farm overlooking the Coal River Valley in Tasmania,
specialising in Pure Bred Berkshire pork. Our Pigs are totally Free Ranged, which means they have constant access to paddocks and mud wallows for their ENTIRE lives.
This allows Pigs to express their natural instincts and behaviours.
Pigs are foraging animals, using their snouts to dig the earth in search of plant roots and worms.
They love to "wallow" in muddy puddles to regulate their body temperatures.
So they may look dirty, but they are happy!

So Why "Berkshire" Pigs?.....Berkshire Pigs are a Rare Heritage Breed, originating from England 300 years ago.
They are noted to be the Wagu of the Pork world, marbled with high lean meat to fat ratio, making this unique flavoured pork ideal for
fresh meat consumption. The Royal family kept Berkshires at Windsor Castle for many years.

In recent times, this breed has become venerable. in order to preserve this wonderful breed from extinction we need to farm these increasingly popular pigs.
that's what we are doing, raising these beauties the most natural way possible....
to show the world just how special their qualities are.
