Literacy & Maths Coaching North Shore Sydney

I am a highly qualified classroom teacher and literacy coach with over 15 years experience working in leading private schools in Sydney, International Baccalaureate schools in the United States and a variety of primary schools in Queensland. Most recently I worked as an educational consultant, teaching teachers, which allowed me to explore a broad range of literacy approaches, research current educational strategies and ultimately develop a range of ltieracy strategies that have led to improved literacy for students.


I have a passion for learning and coaching children to reach their full potential through helping them improve their literacy and mathematics skills, overall academic performance and love of learning.

I am a dedicated and effective teacher and use research based principles as this provides the foundation for instruction that can assist all students in becoming proficient readers, writers and mathematicians. My tutoring services are individualised, ensuring the unique needs of the child are met. Literacy and mathematics strategies are taught and built upon, focusing on the child's strengths and helping them to gain confidence and independence.

The school holidays can be a long break away from school so my service aims to provide students with support to ensure they are keeping up their skills in maths and literacy or building upon them to be ready to enter the school year in 2016.

I believe it takes a village to raise a child I aim to work collaboratively with the child's parents, teacher and any other professional to ensure together we are meeting specific needs and helping propel the child forward.


Being a mother, I understand how challenging it can be for parents to finish a long day of work and then come home to work with their child on homework or projects. I also understand that during the holidays, students need to attend a daycare or holiday program. I offer not only one on one tutoring services but also groups of up to 4 students which make the service more affordable for families.

I also believe in developing a relationship with the child and family and believe in the longevity and connection working with a student over many months and even years can provide. Not only does this consistency mean I am able to tune in more to the child's needs, but developing a close working relationship is beneficial and can assist in the child being more motivated and ready to learn.
