Located in the Top End of the Northern Territory, Litchfield Council covers an area of 3100 square kilometres and includes coastal and riverine areas, rainforests and lagoons. The population of Litchfield is estimated to be just over 23,000. Litchfield Council is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivery of a range of services such as: waste and recycling, road maintenance, recreation reserves, animal management, mobile workforce and Thorak Regional Cemetery.
