Walk The Coast

DETAILS FOR THIS EVENT ARE STILL BEING WORKED OUT, BUT HERE'S THE BROAD BRUSH STROKES:

We will depart from Norah Head Lighthouse at in the morning, heading south 27km to the top of The Skillion at Terrigal.

We will be sticking to the coast and trekking along the beaches and around the rocks - save for Crackneck where we will ascend up and over to Cromarty Hill before descending once more to Forries.

High tide will be at 11:35, but that won't affect us as we won't be doing any serious rockhopping where we would be likely to get wet or washed away.

Estimated walking time is five hours, although we will probably stop at Toowoon being the halfway point for lunch at 12:30

The First Inaugural Lighthouse 2 Skillion Coast Walk is a good bit of training for anyone doing the Oxfam Trailwalk or the Bloody Long Walk later in 2016.
