Leonie Martin is a qualified Social Worker who has been working with children and families since 1992. She has extensive experience as a practitioner, manager and senior executive in the areas of health and community services.

Leonie specialises in working with children, families and adults – particularly in the areas of child protection, trauma, sexual assault and violence. She believes that with a combination of listening, compassion and skilled help people can overcome immense pain and adversity.

Leonie’s major qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Social Science and Certificate in Gestalt Therapy. Keeping up with current research and practice approaches is important to Leonie and she has maintained an ongoing commitment to her professional development. She has attended a range of training and learning forums focusing on executive leadership, supervision and trauma.
