Leichhardt Women's Community Health Centre

Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is a non-government women's health centre with five clinics in Sydney's inner city, inner west and south western suburbs. We provide multidisciplinary health care and education to over 4000 women a year, most of whom are experiencing disadvantage or barriers to accessing other services.

Our Services include:
•General practitioner & women’s health nurse clinics
•Acupuncture
•Physiotherapy
•Naturopathy
•Drug & Alcohol counselling
•Counselling on various issues including assessment & referral, relationships, domestic violence, grief, sexuality, life events and decisions, and childhood sexual assault - in English and Vietnamese
•Health education groups and courses to improve wellbeing and develop personal skills
•Talks to community groups & health professionals
•the state-wide Women Partners of Bisexual Men Service (information, counselling and groups for women partners of gay/bisexual men in NSW)
•Medicare-registered psychology
•Counselling for women who are survivors of childhood sexual assault in partnership with Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia
•Legal advice clinics with Gowland Legal
•The Miranda Project and
•Support for Aboriginal women experiencing domestic violence in partnership with Aboriginal Women and Children's Crisis Service.

We employ 20 staff and are not for profit. Our main funding partner is Sydney Local Health District; doctors are funded by Medicare and some newer services are providing by fees and donations.

The Centre also operates the only service in Australia specifically for women partners of gay and bisexual men.

The Centre is open every week day. Opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 9.30am-5.30pm (closed for lunch daily 1-2pm)
The Centre has Public Benevolent Status with the Australian Taxation Office (providing tax deductibility for donations of $2 and above).
