CRACK INJECTION SYSTEM - Leaking Concrete Crack Repair

Crack Injection is the most effective leaking crack repair method in concrete. The widespread use of urethane or grout, for concrete crack injection is a tribute to the inherent versatility of low viscosity urethane injection resins for leak sealing applications.

What makes it work ?

Crack Injection is a fluid resin which is injected into concrete cracks, rock fissures, expansion joints and other voids in concrete structures. When used in concrete crack injection applications the urethane is injected into a crack; within minutes the urethane expands transforming from a liquid to a flexible rubber solid. Flexible and Durable being the key with a extremely high adhesion rating. Will expand and contract with future concrete movement. Concrete is subject to weather conditions and does expand and conctract along with these conditions.



This sealant is attracted to water - making it work amazingly well in situations where there is water leaking out of cracks at a high flow rate. You will be amazed at some of the high pressure leaks we have repaired, ( refer to website for examples ), in water tanks that full of water, leaks shooting out of the wall 3 feet the size of your thumb in diameter. The Buxton Town Water Supply Tank, Victoria - leaks repaired were in a tank 4.5 meters high x 14 meters diameter with five very large leak flows almost the size of your wrist in diameter right at the base of the tank as well were the pressure is at it's highest, these leaks were repaired exactly the same way as we do all rural and domestic concrete tanks with the crack injection system.



The versatility, and consequently the popularity, of urethane resins in crack injection applications stems from urethane's properties:
•It has a very short cure time, making it ideal for active leak sealing.
•Extremely low viscosity allowing for even the finest fishers (cracks with a width less than 0.2mm) to be sealed. It will find cracks that you can't physically see !
•The resin cures normally whether a foundation crack is wet, actively leaking, or damp.
•Urethane, once cured, is flexible, allowing for movement in the structure and leaks to remain sealed.
•Any leak in a concrete structure can be sealed as long as we can get to it.



The advantage to our system is it is a high pressure injected low viscosity sealant that is Flexible / Strong / Durable. This system will repair leaks in concrete tank walls and will treat the crack all the way through to the inside of the the tank from the outside. The advantages of using such a system are obvious, The sealant injects inside the concrete wall structure, the sealant is flexible and has a very high elongation / adhesion level. This process will seperate the leaking tank water from the concrete steel's reinforcement inside the wall structure. Amazing benefit for the longevity of the tanks structural strength.
