Every heart knows how to love, however most of us love just enough to get by. Some of us never learn to open our hearts to love. However some of us love too much and end up taking into our homes a bunch of furry, feathered, and scaled friends. In an effort to not over crowd our homes and also be able to help more animals at the same time, we have decided to open a store front where there are regular hours of operation for you the public to view these wonderful rescued animals. Hopefully you will find a new family member to take home with you. This location is in Arcata, California, however if you are in another state and have your heart set on one of our rescue animals we will be happy to send them to you in the safest possible least stressful way to the animal.

We are dedicated to having the easiest possible way to adopt a rescue animal. We are aware that there are perfect homes out there being turned down by other rescues and shelters. So in an effort to get a new furry friend people often tend to take the least stressful route by simply buying an animal from a pet store or a breeder. This eliminates the heart break of falling in love with a rescue pet only to get turned down from their strict background check, or having to wait 3 days to 3 weeks only to find out the animal isn’t available anymore. We make it simple, all you do is walk into our shelter or log onto our website and pick the pet you want. You fill out a simple form and walk out with your new pet (or have them sent to you) the same day! Help us help these animals and future rescues by adopting a pet instead of buying.

The economy is affecting everybody, so if you can’t afford the adoption cost, please call, talk to, or email us and we may be able to lower or eliminate the adoption cost. We know that you may be able to provide a fabulous home, and that the adoption cost could be saved for future emergency needs. We are also graciously accepting donations of any kind and may possibly be able to pick up some items. We are also very much into helping the environment and prefer to use eco-friendly cleaning supplies, and Natural shampoos. Any usable recycled items may be helpful as well. Thank you!
