More about Lake Centenary

It is a 55 acre man-made lake and is utilised by many for various activities, including fishing, water-skiing, sailing, canoeing, and swimming. There is a secluded area separated from the motor sports area for those who wish to enjoy a lake swim, with pleasant beach like areas and a great playground for the children. An ideal venue for a family day, there are barbeque facilities and amenities, including showers.
Access to the lake for boats is through a boom gate, for which a pass must be obtained from the Caltex Service Station, opposite Woolworths in Hoskins St. A day pass is $15 plus a $35 bond returnable when the access card is returned. A year pass will set you back $50.
The lake is patrolled by Roads and Maritime, as well as the police and council ranger. Users are required to ensure they are compliant with the relevant regulations. There are also rules for lake use which are provided when obtaining a boom gate pass and are clearly displayed at the boat ramp. For the safety of all lake users, these must be followed.
For the consideration of all lake users, dogs are not allowed. It is also a glass free area, please ensure any beverages brought onsite for consumption are in cans.
Following the rules provided should ensure a pleasant day out and provide for the safety of all who partake of the enjoyment of this stunning facility.
