La Casa Del Formaggio

La Casa Del Formaggio's founders Gerardo and Rosa Cicchiello are both of small dairy farm backgrounds in Benevento, Italy (in Campania). They immigrated to Australia and got married. Over time, they longed for the food they grew up with in Italy and wanted to pass on their family tradition of cheese making. With this in mind and without any experience or formal business training, they opened a business in 1984 primarily selling continental products. Rosa began to make her homemade Traditional Ricotta in her kitchen and sell it through the continental store. The customer response was so overwhelming they decided to focus on cheese making and in 1988 La Casa Del Formaggio was born. It is the company's mission to help you create your own family traditions through food.

We specialise in Italian fresh cheeses including Bocconcini, Ricotta, Mozzarella, Fresh Pecorino style cheese, Grated Parmesan and Mascarpone. We also make Haloumi and Double Cream. La Casa Del Formaggio makes our cheeses the traditional way and we do not add artificial preservatives or any additives. Our cheeses are the benchmark for colour, texture and taste.

A selection of our products can be found in Independent grocers nationally, with our wider range available in Foodlands and specialty shops in SA. Nationally our Bocconcini, Ricotta and Mozzarella is available at Coles and Woolworths.
