Kyoshi Steve is a recognised expert and key note speaker on Counter Terrorism and security strategies and is a 28 year Law enforcement/security professional.

Qualifications

Kyoshi Steve is a Close Quarter Combat specialist having applied his practical skills in real life armed offender confrontations. Kyoshi conducts regular workshops and demonstrations, he currently holds:
- 8th Degree Tara Miliata,
- 6th Degree Black Belt in Zen Do Kai Freestyle Karate,
- 5th Dan Black belt in BJMA (Bob Jones Martial Arts) Krav Maga,
- 4th Degree in BJC (Bob Jones Corporation) Muay Thai,
- 1st Degree Black belt in Traditional Kobudo,
- 1st Degree Black blt in Doce Pares Arnis.
Kyoshi was also the WA BJC Instructor of the year for 2012.

The System:

Krav Maga is a self defence system for people of all walks of life, genders and abilities. The Krav Maga system was first developed to help the Jewish community protect themselves from Nazi armed forces. In Hebrew, Krav means “combat” or “battle” and Maga translates to “contact” or “touch”. Krav Maga is not a sports style of martial arts, rather focusing on real life self-defense and hand to hand combat situations.

The Ultimate goal of Krav Maga is to defeat threats and avoid harm through a variety of means or by any means necessary . It emphasizes delivering brutal attacks to vulnerable parts of the body, and practitioners are taught to never give up.
