Kids Motion Our Devotion
At Kids Physio Focus our extensive experience in managing Growth related and Children’s Sporting injuries ensures the best treatment is delivered to your Child.
Children are not just small Adults.
The Loading patterns, ever changing Biomechanics, varying bone density, and the presence of Growth Plates, mean that Kids are susceptible to completely different types of injuries compared to Adults. Treatment, Management and the time to return to Sport is influenced by the unique differences.
The time to develop new Motor Patterns and time required for injuries to settle and tolerate load differ greatly. Growth plate injuries alone are unique to Kids and need specialised management and care.
Growing Pains are real and can represent the response to a Childs body to overload and precede injury. These pains are an indication that injury may occur as repetitive micro-trauma overloads the boney attachment of a tendon. Experience allows us to determine when loads need to alter to avoid permanent injury.
Our experience dealing with Kids sporting injuries and the relationships we have developed with the best Medical Specialists that specialise in Childhood Sporting Injuries stand us apart from most other therapists.
