Kichoo Japanese Bobtails

I have owned japanese bobtails for many years and love the breed for their quirky, trainable, clannish nature.

I first saw the breed represented at a Tasmanian Cat show back in 2003 by breeders Dot Graham and Rose Osborne who were the first importers of japanese bobtails into Australia in 1997. Their stud prefix was Hajime. I bought my first kittens from Dot and Rose and fell totally in love with the breed.

After losing one of these cats at age 6 to cancer and discovering Dot and Rose had given up the breeding side of things around 2008, I sought out Iris Baker as I knew she had also taken breeding stock from Dot and Rose. I was keen to get stock derived from Hajime and the rest, as they say, is history. I imported Golly and Gosh from Iris and we struck up a great friendship. When Iris realised her health would not allow her to continue breeding her beloved 'jappy' cats she generously offered them to me in the hope I would realize a dream to breed jappys and continue the work she, Dot, Rose and Pauline Pullen had started with years of careful and meticilous breeding. I am truly honoured to be able to carry this on.

I also own japanese bobtails from Trilian Cattery in NSW, all bred by Penny Richardson whose breeding lines compliment those of Hajime and Kichoo.

My cats are well cared for and the neuters have the run on a rural property, they spend a lot of time outdoors during the day. The breeding cats are enclosed in an indoor/outdoor cattery and enjoy farm life and all that happens!

I also show horses as Alinda Park Show Horses and am very successful in that avenue. We also breed riding ponies and stand a stallion at stud.
