Steve and Melitta and their three children Sheriden, Madilyn and James have had a very long affiliation with the animals they love. Steve and Melitta each have many years of experience within the equine industry.

Their separate past histories range from attending pony club in the 80's, harness racing and training, breeding and showing Palomino stock horses, riding as clerk of the course at the trots, a little dressage, a little western show riding and more recently teaching their own children to ride, show and participate in pony club and all the thrills and spills that go with the territory.

Unfortunately, other than the children's riding, their other horse interests were never synchronized which meant that neither of them were giving 100% in their equestrian pursuits. But that was all about to change!

One day Steve attended the Bendigo Horse Of The Year show to present an award he was sponsoring when he noticed the creature that was about to give him and his families life a whole new dimension, a miniature horse.

As Steve was never really into the show scene, it came as such a surprise to Melitta when Steve announced upon his return "Honey, I want to show miniature horses, what do you think?" As Melitta's passion had always been showing horses, mainly big palomino ones, and she had not been able to put in 100% for sometime due to her growing family and Steve's lack of enthusiasm, she jumped at the opportunity.

Now the tallest horse to grace the undulating paddocks of the Tyzzer's property is not 17.2 hh monsters but many miniature horse pictures of perfection ranging in height from 8.3hh down to 4.3hh.

The Tyzzer's, as a family, are now a very successful show team whom are always in the winners circle. Most importantly of all they have a heap of fun along the way, together, with their children and with the wonderful people they meet. They simply cant imagine life without miniature horses.
