Welcome to Karma Kinglake.

This unique accommodation facility is a new venture born out of the most extraordinary chapter in Kinglake’s history – Black Saturday.

Anthony (Macca) and Karen McDonald look forward to welcoming you to their new environment, which will consist of 4 self-contained bungalows, a conference/meeting room and a new home containing a separate wing with 2 full service bed and breakfast suites.

This project is a “fork in the road” for Karen & Macca, who for the last 10 years have operated a very successful remote area 4X4 expedition and catering business in Australia and Southern Africa. After losing everything in 2009 they have decided to come home and to share it with visitors looking for a very special experience in a very special part of the world.

Nestled in 3 acres of sustainable garden, Karma Kinglake is designed to give visitors a place to relax, renew and revive. Bungalows are fully equipped to allow you to do as much or as little as you please. If food is your pleasure then you are in good company. Macca & Karen have a vegie patch to aspire to and you are welcome to utilize its bounty in your own culinary delights. If you would prefer to sit back and let others do the work we can assist you with a meal, provisions or talk to us about a special dinner or function.

Karma Kinglake has 4 bungalows for guests, one with 1 bedroom and three with 2 bedrooms. Each bungalow has its own living room with wood fired heating, air-conditioning, TV, DVD player and MP3/Ipod Dock. Each bungalow has a deck area with outdoor seating and your own BBQ.

Karma Kinglake has 2 additional rooms available for guests. Located in a separate wing of Macca and Karen’s new home. Each has it’s own outdoor area and access to a communal lounge. Feel free to enjoy your full breakfast in your room, in your outdoor area or in the lounge. Allow us to prepare a meal for you or take a short stroll down the road to dinner at The Kinglake Pub.

In the loft of our new barn will be a conference/meeting room fitted out with all you need. This will be an ideal space for small gatherings to come together and facilitate meetings, workshops and can precipitate team-building activities using one of the many options available in this area. We have a network of local people and businesses who do great work in strengthening teams and helping people to achieve and challenge their goals. From physical to psychological to spiritual, there are many options to suit a variety of needs and outcomes. Yoga, massage, motivational speakers, challenge ropes courses and extreme physical challenges are just a few of the activities available around here.
