Kangaroo Haven Incorporated

It all began when we were travelling from Broome to Kununurra and hit a Red Kangaroo who had a little joey in her pouch. With help from the local vet, google and many other resources, I learned to care for this orphaned joey. She was the first of many, and we have now released 619 roos back into the wild. Many stay here with me if their injuries prevent them from being able to go back into the wild, like permanent resident Boss, who is blind.

We moved from a 2 bedroom unit to a 10 acre block on the edge of Kununurra, at the top of WA, 3000 kilometres from Perth, to accommodate for the growing number of animals that came into our care. We have an Emu called Export, many birds and of course plenty of kangaroos and wallabies
