The Kalamunda Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is an organisation entirely staffed by volunteers, charged with protecting the Shire of Kalamunda from the threat of fire. The Brigade has 90 volunteer members. We work out of our fire station in Walliston. We operate 6 front line firefighting appliances and 2 support vehicles. Our firefighting fleet comprises the following:
- A 3.4 Isuzu Heavy Tanker (carries 3000 litres of water and up to 6 firefighters)
- A 2.4 Isuzu Medium Tanker (carries 2000 litres of water and up to 6 firefighters)
- A 1.4 Isuzu Medium Tanker (carries 1000 litres of water and up to 3 firefighters)
- 3x Toyota Landcruiser Light Tankers (Each carries 600 litres of water and 2 firefighters)
All of these are 4WD vehicles.
Our support vehicles are:
- An Toyota Cruiser Incident Control Vehicle (ICV)
- A Ford Ranger Fire Support Vehicle
