Hello and welcome to Shabby Valley Candles. Thankyou for taking the time to read through this and learn more about the background information of Kakadu Candles.

Formerly known as Kakadu Candles was formed in July 2013 with an emphasis on providing a product as natural, eco friendly and budget friendly as possible.

Our natural premium grade soy wax is derived from the soya bean. This product is now widely used in candles and melts for many reasons firstly the lifespan of a candle made with soy wax is much longer then that of paraffin wax, around 25% longer means that economically it's a much better choice! Secondly, not only is it longer lasting - it's a renewable source and environmentally friendly! It's water soluble so wash it out of the jar with warm soapy water when your candle is finished and either have it refilled (through us!!) or use it for something else! Soy Wax is also biodegradable!
Thirdly soy wax holds the scent like no other - the scent throw off soy wax is simply amazing, the fragrance comes from the melted wax pool as opposed to burning directly off the wick!

The wicks used in our candles are cotton and contain no toxins or lead. Our glass and timber lids come from Lotus Glassware - The Danube Glass are moulded, this means it has a much thicker wall and is a much safer glass to use. The risk of breakages is greatly reduced compared with thin walled blown glass.
Soy wax melts are another popular choice to the candle range and are available in soy wax only.

On top of this - we can make "Special Occasion" candles. Unique, personalised and crafted to your requirements for the special day, these candle's have been used for weddings, christening, baby showers, gifts etc.
