Kai Ho Sea Vegetables Tasmania

Sea Vegetables Tasmania aims to be the premier supplier of edible seaweed products in Australia. These may be wild harvest of introduced species or cultivated native species. These will be Tasmanian sourced and used to build the Tasmanian Brand and be valued for their quality and reliability of supply. All products sold will have been acquired while respecting the environment from which they came.

Kai Ho is currently involved in a project to cultivate some native Tasmanian seaweed species. Some will be grown in conjunction with salmon farms and may capitalize on any excess nutrients. This is a project in conjunction with Camerons Shellfish and Tassal.

Kai Ho is also involved with investigations into the restoration of Macrocystis pyrifera beds in conjunction with Eaglehawk Dive Centre.

Kai Ho was jointly founded in 2013 by Dr Craig Sanderson, a marine biologist and phycologist, and James Ashmore, of Ashmore Foods Tasmania; the partnership between the two representing a strategic union of science and experienced food production.

Kai Ho products are available on the Internet and can be ordered
in dried, fresh and fresh frozen versions.
