Juvena's Family Day Care

Welcome to Juvena's Family Day Care! My name is Juvena Emmerson and I am a qualified educator providing an approved in-venue family day care service in Horsham Victoria.

I have been in this industry for nearly 5 years, and in that time I have worked with children from 6 weeks old to 12 year olds. I have worked in services such as Long Day Care, Occasional Care, After School Care and Vacation Care. For the last 2 and a half years I have been in a role as a Team Leader within a service.

I believe my role as an early year’s educator is to provide all children with positive learning experiences in a loving environment. I seek to form trusting relationships with each child in my care and their families. I believe caring for someone else’s child is a great privilege, therefore I give great attention to ensuring their physical, cognitive and emotional development is encouraged with my personalised approach to childcare.

I believe that the best way for children to learn is through play. I provide an environment that is stimulating and inviting by using inspiring resources that can be used in open ended play spaces. I like to use natural materials where possible as I feel it stimulates imagination, promotes creativity and enhances aesthetic development and appreciation of nature. Open ended play spaces allow children to learn at their own pace, at their own level and to explore what’s of interest to them. By having no specific outcome for the area allows for all to succeed and express their uniqueness. (Please see my philosophy for more information)

- Diploma in Children's Services
- Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care service (First Aid, CPR, Asthma, & Anaphylaxis trading)
- Certified Supervisor
- Food Handlers qualification
- Police Check
- Working with Children's Check
- Varied professional developmental courses
