About us

My Husband & I moved here 1984 and raised our five children. Three have now left home and started their own families with only Meghan and Patrick still at home. Nanna Kaye & my oldest son lives next store and is a valuable members of our extended family. Nanna Kaye is a regular visitor who the children love to visit. We have a dog called Roi short for Sheroi is Japanese word for white but at the time my daughter thought meant black. Oh well, this is why he is call just Roi. My youngest daughter Meghan is horse mad and we have two horses Skip & Clancy. They are both Quarter horses. There are several guinea pigs that the day care children help to look after during the course of the day.
My husband Craig has a certificate 3 in child care and he is my relief educator.
I have held a certificate 3 in child care for many years and have worked in long day (before I was qualified) and before and after school care.
I love working in family day care as I can give a more personal service to my parents, group sizes are smaller and the children & their families become an extension of my own family. I have made many friends since starting FDC for myself. I believe these young children are our future and I would like to think, I can make a small difference in a child’s life.
