As a native speaker of French, having grown-up bilingual (French-Dutch) and having done all her schooling in French in Belgium, Jill Deltenre has the knowledge in French that is required to offer a high quality service.

Moreover, having done a bachelor degree in Australia, majoring in EIL (English as an International Language), which is an applied linguistics course, as well as completing a Masters degree in EIL, Jill Deltenre has demonstrated a thorough understanding of linguistics.

Jill Deltenre has 7 years experience teaching privately, in language schools (CAE or Centre for Adult Education), at secondary level (Eltham College) and at tertiary level (Monash University). She also participated in a sessional teaching training workshop at Monash University analysing the role of a tutor and discussing approaches to teaching, learning styles and preferences as well as communication skills with education specialists.

It is vital for a tutor to have a deep knowledge of the curriculum for each segment of customers, particularly those students preparing for the VCE exam. Having worked closely with French teachers at different schools, Jill Deltenre has gained a deep knowledge of the curriculum taught and what is required for the French VCE exam. Moreover, as part of her professional development, she has taken part in a seminar given by the AISV (Association of Independent Schools of Victoria) which discussed VCE Lote: The Detailed Study, which is a vital part of the VCE exam.
