Jen Amos Artist

Artist Statement:
As I worship and spend time in the presence of God images, colours, shapes, Bible verses and Kingdom principles are revealed to me and I express these on canvas as acrylic abstract paintings with multiple layers, mixed media and vibrant colours.

I often hide other images, words and phrases in my work as I engage with the principles of the ‘more’ and the ‘mystery’ of God. No matter what we know of Him, there is always more to discover. He loves mystery and will therefore conceal something of Himself to be searched out by us.
“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.” Proverbs 25:2

Painting, for me, is an act of worship, a time of communion with God.

Each painting says something very personal to me but that meaning is given greater depth by the interpretation of others who experience the art.

It is my expectation that those who view my art will have an encounter with the One who inspired the work and was present during the process.

It is my greatest hope that they will be encouraged, healed physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally and receive new revelation of the greatness of God and His good plans for His children.
