Directed by the region’s leading youth soccer development tutor and internationally professional player, the Jamie Gosling Football Academy will offer the opportunity to children aged 3-16 to develop their game like never before.

Each player be graded on ability not age.

Every boy and girl with a liking to the game is welcomed, JGFA will be for those who are shining now, and those who show early, raw promise.

Jamie Gosling was born and raised in England where he played professionally in the Football League for Yeovil Town and Torquay United. Jamie has played alongside some greats of the game notably holding the great Liverpool side of 2004/5, Harry Kewell and Paul Ince included - to a thrilling FA Cup tie at Yeovil. Jamie has also coached the likes of Scott Sinclair (Manchester City & Swansea) and played with current England international Charlie Austin. Towards the latter end of his playing career, Jamie made the move across the world to showcase his talents here in Australia. After stints in NSW and Victoria, Jamie made the move up north and has been instrumental in the FNQ Heats rise to fame.

Jamie’s coaching is second to none, having worked with just about every child at every school in the region as the FNQ Heat’s Youth development Officer for the last 2 years. This all means that there is no one in the region better qualified and experienced to help, nurture and develop the region’s children to fulfil their potential.

Jamie has worked and played with a huge range of coaches, players and staff in the football world from across the globe creating a network of soccer contacts not to be rivalled. This experience is something Jamie is passionate about giving back and passing on ….. to the youth of FNQ. We are now very excited to be able to offer that opportunity in the creation of The Jamie Gosling Football Academy (JGFA)

THE JGFA WAY
JGFA aspires to provide the highest quality soccer training with the objective of maximising the individual player’s potential. Our focus is on individual skill development, instilling discipline, confidence with the ball, a higher work ethic and greater expectations within the individual.

Understanding that soccer is a game that is meant to be played with spirit and joy, we are committed to providing a structured environment where not only can the player improve but his/her spirit expressed and joy fueled.
We encourage each player to use their imagination and creativity. We also encourage taking risks, explaining that making mistakes is a natural part of the game and assist in improving their decision-making ability under pressure.

While our programs are geared toward individual skill development, we actively work to instill a sense of game application so that our players are able to assimilate what they have learned into their team play.

Our Players are provided ongoing feedback and individualized guidance throughout our sessions, which allows for accelerated learning.

The only expectations of a JGFA player are effort and concentration.
Player development and coaching will include:
• Report cards,
• Constant & continual individual player assessment
• Grading by ability not age
• Squad number and profile
• Games v other Academies and schools.
