James the Science Guy

Starting small, James originally designed his science experiences as part of the educational program at the early childhood services that he was employed by. Subsequently, children across the Central Coast have been dazzled, awed and impressed by the almost magical experiences that James keeps in his science box!

His hope is now to share his knowledge and experiences with a wider range of early childhood services and families, working together to provide inspiration to embed and encourage the exploration of scientific concepts, and hypothetical thinking skills, within the day to day play of children.

"It's important to me, that every child leaves each show with a little bit of curisosity, like "How did that thing he did happen? I want to know more about that, I want to make that happen too!" Families and services are provided with a FULL RISK ASSESSMENT before any experiences take place. James will also ensure that a safety briefing (induction), and de-briefing, takes place as part of the experience, to ensure that all children are adequately educated about any associated risk. On the conclusion of each show, the service/family will keep all remaining resources, as well as instructions as to how to perform each experiment later!

James currently services the Central Coast, but is able to travel to the wider Sydney area, and Newcastle/Hunter Region with enough notice. Rates are subject to change due to location, and chosen experiences.
