Throughout my work as a licensed building work supervisor, I have seen the short cuts that DIY people and tradies attempt to use, to cover up major and minor house faults. Those freshly painted walls can hide a multitude of serious construction deficiencies, that could cost you thousands to rectify and devalue your home.
If there are issues however that require addressing and you still want the home that you have fallen in love with, I have contacts with licensed qualified tradesmen that can quote the rectification work to a professional standard. These tradesmen are people I have trusted for years and so can you.
I recommend that inspections are best conducted during your cooling off period so they are unconditional and you may withdraw from the purchase without being subject to any grey area justification.

I have recently completed a Certificate 3 in frontline management studying safe working practices and identifying risk.
