Indooroopilly Homestead

Our exclusive mountain retreat was originally built by writer and poet Barbara Blackman (who was previously married to artist Charles Blackman) and her former partner Marcel Veldhoven as a nurturing escape.
Evolved from the land itself the home is hand built and integrates a tapestry of texture such as mud bricks, paddock rocks, local timber and a unique roofline. All this makes Indooroopilly one of the most interesting and individual destinations in the area.
Perched high on 105 acres, hidden from the road you will be serenaded by nature at its finest but encased by all the comforts of home.
Lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats and kangaroos abound. Nature walks, kayaking and many other activities are at your doorstep. Or just sit back and relax by the pool and take in the breathtaking view from the north facing deck looking toward Wedding Cake Mountain.
The accommodation consists of the main house and a separate two bedroom cottage.

Completely private yet only 10 minutes from Berry, 15 minutes to Kangaroo Valley and 20 minutes to the beautiful white sandy beaches of the NSW South Coast.
