Ingrid employs a unique and integrated approach to counselling and does not believe in a single system intervention. Ingrid's therapy is based on understanding, hope and creating the possibility for change in a positive, safe and confidential environment.

Ingrid also has a diverse interest in working with carers of people with eating disorders offering support, coping strategies and counsel to enable better outcomes for the sufferer and their families. Ingrid is also a facilitator for the Butterfly Foundation, giving public talks to educational institutions for better understanding of eating disorders and early intervention.
