Ilana's Family Day Care

At Ilana’s Family Day care your child will have the opportunity to be cared for and educated within a safe, warm, secure, and supportive environment. This will enable your child to establish and feel a sense of belonging thus being active participants in their own learning and development. Their wellbeing is my priority and I will ensure that they will be provided with positive experiences whilst in my care.

The educational program will reflect the children’s interests as well as choice. I will provide a predictable routine and play will be a large component of their day. It is through play that your child will constantly learn and develop. Through their own explorations and investigations this will further their curiosity. As well, your child will be provided with open ended materials including natural materials, toys, books, art, designated dramatic play areas, and music will be incorporated on a regular basis. I will document and evaluate your child’s learning and progress and you will have access to your child's portfolio.

The outdoor and indoor environment will support the children’s learning. They will be able to connect with their world and have the opportunity to explore nature.

I believe in the importance of developing meaningful, respectful and positive relationships with one another. Through collaboration with you and your child we can work together to strive for the best holistic outcome for your child including the key learning areas being, Language, Communication, Physical, Cognitive, Social and Emotional.
