More about Ihya Institute

Ihya Institute is a ground-breaking collaborative initiative between MSAs based in Sydney.

With a MSA-focused grassroots approach, our vision is to produce individuals, well-grounded in the fundamental/core Islamic sciences, and to equip them with the intellectual tools, knowledge and skills essential to navigate and serve as leaders & torch-bearers of our intellectual tradition in the community and the world beyond

Our flagship Weekend Seminar program (starting 31st July - details to be released in the coming days), run over 4 year cycles, is tailored to meet the needs and busy schedules of Muslim University Students, providing a framework and an extremely strong foundation in all the core Islamic Sciences, over the course of an average degree duration.

Presented by highly qualified Instructors, leaders in their respective fields, our 1 or 2 day interactive Weekend Courses/Seminars are designed to foster and advance a stimulating, fulfilling and rigorous intellectual tradition along with the provision of detailed course notes and audio/video recordings

Where possible we aim to utilise, work with/in cooperation with existing organisations, networks and infrastructure in the community in the pursuit of our goals

The Institute’s operations will be guided by a team of scholars as advisors, representative of the diversity/diverse dynamics of Muslim Community of Sydney

July 2017 marks the first stage of our launch with the release of our Weekend Seminar program, with the intent to launch our pioneering Alim/Alimiyyah Scholarship Programme Programmes in the coming months, accompanied by a wholesome support network and online portals.

-----------
In the near future, we aim to foster the development of scholarship well-versed in the Islamic tradition and understanding of & capability of traversing the cultural and socio-political context of modern-day Australia – to lead, inspire, nurture and grow our communities. To that end, Ihya Institute also aims to serve as a stepping stone & a pathway in the pursuit of fulltime scholarship for University Students, seeking to provide them the support necessary on their journey – financially and otherwise
