Hunter River Sport-horses

Hunter River Sport-Horses is a small family owned Horse Stud in the Hunter Valley. Having only started breeding again after a long break we have some quality Thoroughbred offspring, the oldest of which is currently being broken in.

We strive to breed top quality Thoroughbred's from an excellent line of Racehorse champions. In partnership with Darley Stud we have been able to breed our mares to the best of the best, displaying 'Black Type' in all of our foals. We hope to breed foals able to make high bids at Thoroughbred yearling sales.

Recently we have purchased a Warmblood mare who is currently in the process of having her 50% Clydesdale Colt weaned. Scoring 8's and 9's for her movement we are hopeful to breed quality offspring from her in the coming years. She is the start of our hopeful expansion into a larger stud breeding also for performance, not just Racing.

Our future plans are to begin a training operation in which we are able to bring our foals up through all levels to then be sold.
