Hub Netball Club was founded in 1979 and was formed out of an affiliation with the Hub YMCA. This affiliation no longer exists but the Club continues to be a strong participant within the Southern United Neball Association (SUNA).

The Club prides itself on being a family club with the emphasis on participation and fun within a strong club structure. The Club relies on volunteers to fill the roles of coaches, committee members, team managers and umpires.
