-NORWAY SPRUCE- (piceae abies, abies sibirica)-
The Norway Spruce is a large evergreen coniferous tree which grows throughout Europe from Norway in the northwest and Poland eastward, and also in the mountains of central Europe. It has needle-like leaves and the longest cones of any spruce variety. The soft young shoots, recognized by their lighter colour, are used as an herbal remedy. Spruce essential oil is used in Pedimol for its scent to help disinfect and clean the lungs. Pedimol contains spruce oil as it promotes circulation and has a mild antiseptic effect.


-LAVENDER- (lavandula angustifolia)-
Lavender is native to the Mediterranean but it can be found in gardens all over the world. Lavender is used extensively in aromatherapy. Lavender flowers yield an essential oil with sweet overtones, and can be used in balms, salves, perfumes, cosmetics, and topical applications. Essential oil of lavender has been used in Pedimol as it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The lavender oil in Pedimol can also be used to soothe and heal insect bites. Pedimol can also be applied to your temples as lavender oil soothes headaches. Use Pedimol for relaxation as lavender oil also aids sleep and relaxation.

-PEPPERMINT- (mentha piperita)-
Peppermint is a hybrid mint, a cross between the watermint and spearmint. The plant, indigenous to Europe, is now widespread in cultivation throughout all regions of the world. Peppermint is sometimes regarded as 'the world's oldest medicine', with archaeological evidence placing its use at least as far back as ten thousand years ago. Peppermint is known for both its taste and scent. Its taste can be found in confectionery and toothpaste and its scent has been used in many products like shampoos and soaps. Peppermint oil is used in Pedimol to give a cooling sensation on the skin. Peppermint oil also helps to reduce the sensation of pain on the skin and mucus membranes, and it has disinfecting properties.

-EUCALYPTUS- (eucalyptus globulus)-
The blue gum is an evergreen tree, one of the most widely cultivated trees native to Australia. However, it is now grown almost all over the world. The leaves are steam distilled to extract eucalyptus oil. The oil is used for its therapeutic, perfumery, flavouring, antimicrobial and biopesticide properties. Eucalyptus oil helps with breathing, colds and flu, with coughing, and is an insect repellent. It is used in Pedimol as it helps the user relax and breathe deeply.
